How to capture the input/output of a unix command Can't Post

I am trying to write a wrapper on a unix command, which takes interactive input from the user
and want to capture the input from the user and the output
from the command so that I can email it. How can I do this,
thanks!

The script command (that's a UNIX utility not perl!) is ideal for such things.
