I realize I wasn't vry clear in my first post, but I'm so confused I didn't know what code I should post. The program I'm using can be found @ cgi-perl.com. Scroll down on the right side and click on Webshop, then scroll down and click on working demo. Your can view the source code from there.
I'm used to using form and input tags and submitting them to a program. This program uses markers and variable tags that are inserted into template files. The progrqam then modifies the template files on-the-fly. Sort of like a mail-merge kind of thing. Below is an example from the book of an intro page template.
<title>GGI/Perl Cookbook Bookstore</title>

Link markers go here. For some reason they won't print on my message when I write them out.
This is an intro page. The link tags are markers that are replaced with links to other pages. These links are replaced when webshop.cgi parses the template file.
The book says, "You start Webshop (cgi program) from a referring page, which is simply a page that contains a link to Webshop with a query string appended to it that specifies a configuration file. The query string is of the form:
configuration_file_path is the full path to the configuration file. For example:
Using this example, the full link to Webshop would look something like this:
You can then use this URL to link to Webshop from within an HTML page."
I don't know how or where to use this URL. Does it go in with the link tags, on another page or what? I'm lost.
