need same of echo $$ (pid) Can't Post

Hello all,
i use perl on unix and the script will run via CGI.
i try to retrieve the pid of the scripts.
in ksh, this is simple, just use the variable $$.
How to see that with Perl ?

$$. Gee, that was hard. Next time, please read the perlvar section of the documentation.
