Cutting of Path Can't Post

Thank You very much for your help in previous replies

but i guess i need littel bit more of it

ok i have hash it gets info from conifguration file(works fine)

$conf{rootdir}="e:/st"; <- let think it's like this :-)

and i have path to file like that
$files[$i]="e:/st/dir1/text.xt";

i use this pattern to get dir1/text.txt part but i get it wrong
/^$conf{rootdir}(\w+\.\w+)/
ok in breif i need to do this:
before: $files[$i]="e:/st/dir1/text.xt";
after: $files[$i]="dir1/text.xt";

Thank You very much

Re: Cutting of Path [In reply to] Can't Post

From the way your code looks, you may be missing an ending "/" in the value of your $conf{rootdir} hash element. Trying adding the "/" to see if that helps. If not then we'll try changing the pattern that you're trying to match.
