Comparing 2 files? Can't Post

Situation:
I have a backup database of members that I use in the event that I have to restore the main database. I usually backup the main database on a daily basis. However, I realized that in the event that I have to restore the main database with the backup database there could be a possibility that the backup database will contain members that I have recently removed. I have a separate database that contains the removed member.

What I want to do is remove any members records from the backup database by comparing it with the withdraw database than restoring the main database. I've been trying to do this but to no avail.

Can anyone show me how this can be done?

The database is this format

Backup and main database format:
1234|joe|a|blow|123 Lane|seattle|wa|123123

Withdraw database (contains 2 extra fields)
2313|removed-date|1234|joe|a|blow|123 Lane|seattle|wa|123123

Any help will be appreciated!
