INI file Can't Post

Are INI files used in just nt machines or can I make a script with a INI file to run off of a unix machine

INI files (at least files in the same format) are used heavily in Unix. They do not have specific extension, like INI, but essentially these are exactly the same INI files.

Take a look at the Config::IniFiles module on CPAN at http://search.cpan.org/search?module=Config::IniFiles
