"exec cgi" with javascript in a perl counter Can't Post

i have the and i want to pass a query to counter.pl.
the question is how? it's not a static message, it's a screen.width and screen.height so it must be in a javascript context.
Then the questions:

how to "insertAdjacentHtml" or "write" etc the exec directive? cause i've not been able to do this! in a <script> </script> context.
