parsing html files Can't Post

I need to read info off a page my CGI program retrieves off the web. How would I do this? I am basically looking for a string within the page, and I want to retrieve this string up to a certain point, and I want to display it as a new HTML page.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Also, the page is in frames, so this may complicate matters?

Thanks
